“ One of the best spots in Kearny. A small store that has a lot of personality. Been coming here since highschool and the quality of food has never gone down. I always opt for the Al Pastor burrito but the chicken flautas and steak quesadilla are good back ups as well. Don't forget your Mexican coke! ”

This place is sort of like our secret place to get our Mexican foot fix, food is really really good and service is top notch as well. We were tired with of the hipster Mexican spots in Manhattan and downtown jersey city, as the food is bland, expensive and one gets like 2 tacos for $16 :((( so we decided to widen our search criteria and check this place out. “ What a better time to update my review of Mi Pueblito than during cinco de mayo quarantine lockdown? To brighten my cinco de mayo I ordered my go-to = chicken tostadas, chicken burrito, chips and salsa and of course a tres leches dessert. It's just quality every single time. I've literally never had an issue with this restaurant, it's ALWAYS good. Calling up and ordering delivery is always a breeze. Yes, they're very Mexican but if you can't stay on hold for a minute while they go find the English speaking worker than you don't deserve this delicious food. Chicken tostadas is probably my favorite dish from here. Crunchy perfect tortillas, seasoned grilled chicken, bean sauce and fresh queso. I just ate it and I'm already wanting it again. It's the perfect dish. Their burritos are mini babies. They're perfect little angel burritos served with their famous rice and beans and a little scoop of guac on the side. I usually go for chicken but their shrimp is excellent too. I've had almost everything on the menu and it's all fantastic, these just happen to be my favorite. Their tacos, hurraches, tortas, enchiladas, quesadillas, spicy shrimp/chicken soup, chilaqules, everything, I mean everything is perfection. Their signature salsas too, don't sleep on those. Whatever you order, please just get yourself some chips and salsa and a tres leches for dessert. Trust me. Their signature salsa is a small container of heaven that I want to buy in bulk and keep in my fridge and the cake is just what dreams are made of. I know I'm overselling this but it's honestly my favorite place in the world. I've been ordering from here for over 9 years and it's just consistently great food and friendly service. Simply, it's the best Mexican for miles. ”
